Despite the automation, there will be times when you need to send a manual message. There are a few things to keep in mind when sending manual messages from the inbox.
Short codes do not work in manual messages from the inbox - what you see is what you get. All variables (%guest_first_name%, %listing_name%, %check_in% etc.) should be replaced with the relevant data manually. The system will not populate these automatically in manual messages.
Custom codes as saved replies
Custom codes do work from the inbox and can also be used as saved replies. If you have paragraphs of text that you would like to have ready for specific scenarios like confirming an airport transfer or notifying guests about the bin day, you can save your paragraph as a custom codes and find it in the saved replies section.
