From time to time, you may encounter this mysterious ❌ icon on your market reports instead of a search result. There can be several reasons behind this, some of which are easy to solve.
First of all, check if the report came up with at least one result. If you are not seeing any results, it's possible that you are dealing with a wrong search term. In this case, refer to this article for further instructions.
If you are seeing at least one successful search result on your report, the icon can mean two things:
- It was not possible to find your listings within the first 400 search results.
- Our search function encountered an error that is unrelated to your listings performance.
Because we haven't seen your listing, we also cannot confirm your nightly rate as it would appear to possible guests. However, we can still give you the usual market aggregates (min, max, average and median rates) and the number of listings available in your area.
In order to determine which one of the above is the case for you, take a look at the search results that you did receive.
In the following example the listing placed 45th for the dates 30-31 of January, but was not found for the 1-2 February dates. In addition, there were less than 400 listings available for the above mentioned dates.
It is highly unlikely, that the listing fell off the charts from the second page of search results, to not being found in the first 400 search results the next day. In addition it is impossible to place outside of the first 400 search results in a market where there are less than 400 listings available.
You are dealing with a search error and this can be fixed by pulling a new report.
Listing not found in the first 400 search results
In the following example the listing placed 366th for the dates 24-28 January, but was not found for 25-27 January dates. There are more than 400 listings available for both of the date ranges.
In this case, it is highly likely that your listing simply does not place in the first 400 search results for the 25-27th of January.
You are not dealing with a search error.
This doesn't mean you are definitely invisible to guests, but there is a chance that this will require an extra effort from them (for example, selecting filters or restricting their search to an area).
