As you are welcoming new guests, you can be concerned about the state of their identity. You may want to check if their booking channel of choice has all details on record to ensure they remain accountable.
When a guest contacts you for the first time, we generate Insights which are displayed on the Inbox conversation, right below their first message. This includes the status of their identity verification.
Each platform has specific processes to verify a guest's identity. It can be through (but not limited to) the following:
- Legal name
- Government ID
- Recent photo
Our system will indicate whether or not they are verified, but it does not specify the verification method used.
